Referral process

The home school refers the student to Fresh Start Return to School Program after considering the profile of the student.

NOTE: If you are a school making a referral please head to the FOR SCHOOLS tab located top right on the home page.

Student placement in the program is based on suitability and place availability. 

Head teacher of Fresh Start Return to School Program contacts the parent/carer to offer a position and arrange a time for an interview with the student and parent/carer.

An interview takes place where the parent/carer and student agree to follow the procedures and rules of Fresh Start Return to School Program. This includes wearing full school uniform to the program each day.

The student indicates a commitment to Fresh Start Return to School Program.

The parent/carer signs the permission note and arranges transport for their son/daughter.

A commencement date is confirmed.
